The Network name started out as National Network in 1990. Reason being, most of the original teammates were actors in NYC who were all trying to book national network TV commercials at that time. In fact, that is how Jim Davidson and I got reacquainted, on a Budweiser national commercial callback. And that is where the idea sprung about forming our own baseball team. Oh, and Jim booked the commercial, too!
Later on however, the Network name began to mean much more. So many friends and business contacts branched off of the original 11 players that we started to build a "network" of friends that will last a lifetime. Network means something to each and every player on this team. We take pride in being a Network player, friend and member.
